Brief
Following our successful launch of the Royal Mail business portal, we were tasked with refreshing and simplifying the Royal Mail brand guidelines.
Our response
We created a full new set of brand guidelines, spanning across Tone of voice, Design, Illustration and Photography. Providing clear and strategic instructions to help create a digital-first Royal Mail and truly positioning it as a brand for the 21st century.
My role
I was in charge of the illustration and photography section, creating purposeful and structured guidelines, covering all brand touch-points.
Key results
Clear and easy-to-apply guidelines with the support of all key stakeholders.
Strong buy-in by the internal design departments, allowed for a successful implementation of the guidelines across the extensive landscape of the Royal Mail brand.
Brand proposition video
To communicate the new brand values, we created an aspirational video showcasing the newly developed illustration and animation guidelines.
Brand workshop
We introduced and celebrate the new guidelines with a launch event, featuring workshops on the new tone of voice, colours, photography and illustration style. The topics came to life in playful interactive challenges, that made the experience engaging and memorable.
